Scholarship for juniors or seniors attending the University of Washington who are pursuing their first bachelor's degree. Applicants must have completed at least 45 college credits, demonstrate a strong commitment to public service, show leadership in the community, and potential for continued civic participation. In addition to the application students must submit two letters of recommendation from individuals who can address student's community service, and an essay (up to 1000 words) identifying an important community issue, discussing innovative and responsible ways to address the issue, and what role students could play in this response. Any additional, relevant, information may be submitted. Number of awards may vary.
