Scholarship for undergraduate juniors or above attending South Dakota State University in Brookings, South Dakota, participating in the FAA/FSDO summer Internship. Experience involves hands on work with all the staff in the local flight standards district office. The FSDO will host one intern a month (one 40 hour work week at a time) for the summer months. Applicant must have a minimum 3.0 GPA, have a minimum of a private pilot certificate, be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, have completed AVIA 305, and be enrolled in AVIA 494 Aviation Internship during the internship. Interview is required. Submit copies of FAA certificates, including all flight and medical certificates and two letters of recommendation with application packet. Due date and award amount varies.
