Annual award for graduate student attending the San Francisco Conservatory of Music full-time. Selection is based on musical proficiency and specific skills. Assistantship requires approximately 10-12 hours per week. Candidate meets twice/week with New Music Ensemble Director to discuss organizational issues; is responsible for set-up and take-down for rehearsals and performances. Recipient organizes outreach concerts including contracts for concert space and fee, rental of bus and moving equipment. Assistant must recruit players as needed, and monitor attendance and punctuality to rehearsals. Due date varies.
