Annual award for graduate Ph.D. student attending the University of North Texas full-time, majoring in English. Applicant must have completed all doctoral examinations and be working on their dissertation. Selection based on minimum 3.5 GPA on all graduate work; one piece of scholarly writing; letters of recommendation from three English faculty members; participation in professinal activities; and teaching performance. Due dates are March 1st and October 1st. Award amount varies.
