Annual award for undergraduate (freshmen ineligible) student members of the American Society Of Mechanical Engineers enrolled in an ABET (Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology, Inc.) accredited Mechanical Engineering baccalaureate program in the ASME region IX (California, Hawaii, or Nevada). Selection is based on academic achievement (minimum 2.5 GPA), financial need, character, integrity, leadership and potential contribution to the mechanical engineering profession. Membership may be applied for while also applying for scholarship. Nonrenewable.
