Annual grants for graduate students to senior scientists at the Center for Tropical Forest Science of the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute to do research in Latin America, Africa, or Asia in a Forest Dynamics Plot. Applicant must submit grant proposal to be evaluated by a panel of scientists associated with the CTFS network. Research projects can be either basic or applied in nature. Number of grants may vary.
