Scholarship for entering freshmen planning to attend the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Preference will be given to historically underrepresented groups (minorities). Applicants must have great leadership promise to become the leaders of tomorrow. Candidates must attend UCLA the fall quarter immediately after graduating, but not apply until after a one-year sabbatical in a study-abroad program. Interview may be required. Recipients must complete 30 service hours annually to UCLA and the UCLA Alumni Association. Number of awards varies. Renewable.
