Annual award for undergraduate and graduate thesis students pursuing a Filmmaking degree at an accredited school of higher education (see website for Foundation's list of approved institutions). Student should be ready to begin work on their thesis film at the time of application; thesis film projects can be shot abroad, but filmmaker's school must be in the U.S. Applicant must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident. Candidate must be nominated by their respective dean/department chairs (a school may nominate both one undergraduate and one graduate student). All candidates must have already completed one film. Nonrenewable.
