Internships for the Membership, Development and Marketing Department of Friends of the National Zoo located at the Zoo's Counservation and Research Center in Front Royal, Virginia. Applicant must have an interest in the Education and Conservation fields, be certified in American Red Cross First Aid and CPR, worked with elementary and middle-school aged children, be able to lift 25 pounds, and have a valid driver's license and clean driving record. Interns duties include: planning activities, supervising campers, organinzing and decorating camp, and other assigned duties. The internship starts the first week of July. Stipend is $2500 for a six-week period, housing and meals are included. Applications will be available in the spring. Nonrenewable.
