Annual preceptorship for fourth year Veterinary students at the National Zoo in Washington D.C. Students will participate in clinical and preventative medicine, surgery, quarantine, pathology, medical records keeping and case rounds. Applicants must show proof of a negative TB test and rabies prophylaxis within six months of appointment. Applicants must be able to commit to a six to eight week duration and provide their own personal insurance. Positions are available year round, but students are encouraged to apply 12 to 24 months in advance. No housing, lodging, or stipends are provided with this opportunity. Nonrenewable.
