Annual award for undergraduate or graduate students who are classics majors meeting one of the following 4 criteria: 1) current JCL sponsor who attended the 2004 NJCL convention in Virginia; 2)teacher of Latin, Greek, or Classics with less than five years experience who has never attended an ACL Institute; 3)graduate student who plans to teach K-12 Latin, Greek or Classics; or 4)teacher whose students participated in the 2004 National Latin Exam and has never attended an ACL Institute. Award will cover American Classical Institute expenses (registration, room and board on campus). Also, it may help to defray the cost of transportation. Number of awards varies.
