Scholarship for full-time college juniors, seniors, or graduate students who are interested in research relating to global change. Applicants must be pursuing studies in Earth Science, Environmental Science, Marine Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Life Science, Health Sciences, Medical Science, Social Science, Behavioral Science, Atmospheric Science, Ecology, Global Carbon Cycles, Climatology, or Terrestrial Processes. U.S. citizenship is required. Research programs are available at the U.S. Department of Energy facilities and/or participating universities. Duration of program is either 10-12 weeks during the summer or a three year program is also available. Due date is the first Monday in February. Award amount for undergraduates is a weekly stipend of $475 and travel; graduate students - $1,500 monthly stipend and tuition and fees. Number of awards may vary.
