Jenny Lind Competition for Sopranos

Scholarship for female undergraduate or graduate students. This award is for a competition in Connecticut for Sopranos who are 20-27 years of age, and U.S. citizens/permanent residents. Awards are in the amount of $2,000 for 1st place, plus a 2-week summer recital/concert tour in Sweden; $1,000 for 2nd place; $500 for 3rd place. A photo, proof of age, a standard cassette tape (must include 2 contrasting arias and 1 art song) for audition purposes, a repertoire list including opera, operetta and musical theatre and a $25 non-refundable application fee must be included with application packet.
