Annual award for an African American student, with an interest in journalism or media, who is a college junior or senior enrolled in a degree program in Print, Broadcast, Online, Photojournalism, Communications or Public Relations. Applicants must be San Francisco Bay Area (California) residents OR out-of-state student enrolled in a Bay Area college/university OR a native of the Bay Area attending school out of state. Applicants must have a minimum 2.5 GPA. A personal essay and work samples must be included with application packet.
