Scholarship for residents of Kern County, California who are first time freshmen or junior transfer students attending California Polytechnic State University. Selection based on academic achievement (minimum 3.25 GPA). Preference given first to students from Bakersfield and second from Taft. It is recommended that applicants file the FAFSA as most awards are need based. Number of awards and award amount may vary. Renewable.
