Internships for undergraduate students at the Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Applicants must be purusing a Bachelor's degree and be a U.S. citizen or green card holder. Interns will work with a scientist on an individual research project in such areas as: observational and theoretical cosmology, extragalactic and galactic astronomy, interstellar medium and star formation, laboratory astrophysics, supernova and supernova remnants and planetary science. Internships are from 9-10 weeks long. Housing and subsidized travel expenses to Cambridge are given in addition to the stipend.
