Summary: To provide financial assistance to members of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) who are attending or planning to attend college or graduate school. . EliglDility: Open to members of the NAACP who are full-time undergraduates or full- or part-time graduate students. The minimum GPA is 2.5 for graduating high school seniors and undergraduate students or 3.0 fOIi graduate students. All applicants must be able to demonstrate financial need (faJnily income must be less than $30,000 for a family of I, ranging up to $52,300 for a faffiily of 8), be under 25 years of age, and be u.s; Citizens. Financial data: The stipend is $1,500 for undergraduate students or $2,500 for graquate students. Duration: 1 year; recipients may :tpply for renewal. Additional information: Renewal awards may be reduced or denied based on ' insufficient NAACP activities. Number awarded: I or more each year. Deadline: April of each year. |
